Collegiate Consulting Analyzes Ahtletics Operations for Ramapo College

To provide a comprehensive assessment of intercollegiate athletics as well as benchmarking of intercollegiate athletics to the New Jersey Athletic Conference, Collegiate Consulting conducted an Intercollegiate Athletics Operational Review for Ramapo College of New Jersey. The final report provided actionable and prioritized action items incorporating Collegiate Consulting’s findings and best practices, which were in alignment with the College’s institutional strategic plan.

As part of the comprehensive analysis, Collegiate Consulting interviewed more than 50 stakeholders, including institutional, athletic, community, and alumni participants. Each department within intercollegiate athletics as well as coaches for the 18 sports programs provided feedback. In addition, Collegiate Consulting met with the president’s office, admissions, financial aid, general counsel, advancement, strategic enrollment and CFO.

The analysis included a review of the organization and staffing; facilities; sports sponsorship; student-athlete recruitment, retention and experience; Title IX; and external revenue.

What's the Word?

For the next few months, fall student-athletes will hope to enjoy the fruits of their labor. While many viewers have been focusing on football, this first month will provide the beginning of a long-awaited litmus test for other sports.

Key focus points will be travel, staff hours, student-athlete experience and competitiveness.

Unlocking the effects of conference and division changes will hopefully bring out all the positives of such transitions, for staff as well.

Collegiate Consulting wishes all our past, present and future partners the best of luck.

Examination of Programs Leads to an Ease in Transitions

As we continue to partner with institutions of varying size and conference competition level, we are excited to explore opportunities for each new and existing clients. There are several moving pieces to research and analyze that give our university partners an expanded perspective for potential excellence.
We thrive on connection with our college athletic community and we seek to champion their notable actions and achievements.

Please follow us so we can celebrate and elevate each other together.
