ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – (April 21, 2022) – Since the beginning of February 2022, Collegiate Consulting has been working with Missouri Western State University on the search to hire the Griffons’ next Director of Athletics. After a 10-week search, MWSU named Andy Carter as the next Director of Athletics.
Collegiate Consulting received more than 50 applicants for the position, with MWSU conducting 11 Zoom interviews the second week of March and bringing the three finalist on-campus the beginning of April.
Carter is currently the Director of Athletics at Minot State University and has more than 30 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics. Since 2016, he has served as MSU’s Director of Athletics and previously worked as AD for Missouri Baptist, Newberry, Armstrong State and Northwestern Oklahoma State. Carter’s first day and introductory press conference will be on May 2.
