DOVER, DE (Dec. 19, 2024) – Collegiate Consulting has recently completed a Gender Equity Review and Current State Analysis for the Delaware State University (DSU) Athletics Department. The Gender Equity Review was an independent study completed by Collegiate Consulting that provided new data, as well as an update of data from an internal study completed by Delaware State University in September 2020.
Collegiate Consulting provided a comprehensive report utilizing past findings from the gender equity plan developed in 2020 by the institution and delivering a comparison analysis to the current state of Title IX and overall equity across DSU intercollegiate athletics. The study examined multiple deliverables including, but not limited to:
– Sports sponsorship
– Student-athlete participation against institutional enrollment
– Sport-by-Sport participation against total male and female rosters
– Student-athlete demographic
– Student-athlete academic performance
– 5-year student-athlete financial aid trend
– 5-year sport-by-sport operating budgets trend
– 5-year sport-by-sport revenue trend
In addition, Collegiate Consulting provided a comprehensive assessment of Delaware State University’s athletics through a Current State Analysis. Collegiate Consulting crafted multiple analyses comparing DSU Athletics to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). This report included detailed financial and non-financial information including, but not limited to:
– Institutional non-athletic comparison
– Sport sponsorship
– 5-year athletic competitiveness
– Sport-by-sport comprehensive comparison
– 5-year sport-by-sport internal and external success
