Once again, graduation is upon us. While an emotional rite of passage, graduation symbolizes the hard work and commitment student athletes consistently put forth. Quantifiable NCAA data (from 2025) shows a maintained level of academic excellence, especially compared to the general
student body. The best method to assess the level of success is comparing current and previous rates; Looking back is often the easiest way to find where we are now.
Note, the Academic Success Rate (ASR) is a calculation required by the NCAA for all Division II and III student-athletes. This rate was designed to approximate a true student-centered measure of graduation (the student graduated from any four-year college within the six-year window) by essentially passing likely transfers from one college’s cohort to another’s cohort. Unlike the Division I GSR calculation, the DII and DIII ASRs includes many non-scholarship athletes. The NCAA tracks multiple graduation and academic rates, each designed to measure student-athlete success in a slightly different way.
Let Collegiate Consulting find the right candidates for your school. Replacing departed athletic directors and coaches can be a daunting task, often resulting in operational strain. Lack of experience, due to high turnover, leads to project delays, reduced donor engagement and inefficiencies in the athletic department. Finding the right leadership is essential for any institution. Our Executive Search process takes your institutions mission and goals and applies them to our search, ensuring that we help find the right AD, coach or commissioner.
As we continue to partner with institutions of varying size and conference competition level, we are excited to explore opportunities for each new and existing clients. Several moving pieces to research give our university partners an expanded perspective for potential excellence. We thrive on connection with our college athletic community and we seek to champion their notable actions and achievements.
