Collegiate Consulting to Assist Longwood University in Searches for Women's Lacrosse and Softball Head Coaches
Longwood University has retained Collegiate Consulting to assist in the search for its next Softball and Women’s Lacrosse head coaches. Collegiate Consulting will begin the process immediately, distributing the position announcement across multiple platforms and proactively engaging with candidates who demonstrate the experience, leadership and vision necessary to lead the two programs.
Longwood University and Collegiate Consulting encourage all qualified and interested candidates to apply. The position will remain open until filled, with an anticipated search conclusion of July 31, 2026.
Understanding the dynamic nature of coaching responsibilities and current professional commitments, Longwood University and Collegiate Consulting will maintain flexibility throughout the search process to ensure confidentiality and accommodate candidate availability.

Once again, graduation is upon us. While an emotional rite of passage, graduation symbolizes the hard work and commitment student athletes consistently put forth. Quantifiable NCAA data (from 2025) shows a maintained level of academic excellence, especially compared to the general
student body. The best method to assess the level of success is comparing current and previous rates; Looking back is often the easiest way to find where we are now.
Note, the Academic Success Rate (ASR) is a calculation required by the NCAA for all Division II and III student-athletes. This rate was designed to approximate a true student-centered measure of graduation (the student graduated from any four-year college within the six-year window) by essentially passing likely transfers from one college’s cohort to another’s cohort. Unlike the Division I GSR calculation, the DII and DIII ASRs includes many non-scholarship athletes. The NCAA tracks multiple graduation and academic rates, each designed to measure student-athlete success in a slightly different way.
