Bluefield State College Utilizes Collegiate Consulting for Facility Review & Assessment

BLUEFIELD, WEST VIRGINIA (Jan. 6, 2020) – Collegiate Consulting has recently completed two projects for the Bluefield State College intercollegiate athletic department.  Over the past three months, Collegiate Consulting has provided a comprehensive facility assessment of all athletic venues as well as an exploratory review of BSC’s preferred athletic membership.

Collegiate Consulting made multiple on-campus visits as part of the facility assessment, reviewing all competition and practice venues, as well as locker rooms, office space, fan amenities, strength & conditioning and athletic training spaces.

Following the conclusion of our assessment, Collegiate Consulting provided BSC with recommendations, cost estimates and prioritization of the athletic facilities.  Collegiate Consulting felt the renovations of the Ned Shott PE Building and refurbishment of the softball and baseball facilities were of shared, equal importance.  Estimated costs for baseball and softball were slightly more than $1 million with a staggered approach to Shott totaling approximately $3.5 million.

The additional component of the study, was a high-end examination of BSC’s athletic affiliation and opportunities that could materialize over the next few years.

Collegiate Consulting, the one of the leading consulting firms in the intercollegiate marketplace, has completed 10 facility assessment in the past 24 months, including University of Maryland – Baltimore County; University of Texas, Permian Basin; Bakersfield College and USC – Upstate to name a handful of previous projects.
