Collegiate Consulting Aids VCU Athletics with “Rising Higher: Next Steps” Strategic Plan

RICHMOND, VA (July 20, 2018) – Collegiate Consulting recently completed a strategic planning process for Virginia Commonwealth University, assisting the athletic department in the development “Rising Higher: Next Steps” a five-year strategic plan. The study, which began earlier this year, benchmarks VCU with aspirational peer institutions across it’s athletics programs.

 

“We appreciate the resources that Collegiate Consulting provided as we plan for the next five years for VCU Athletics,” said Vice President and Director of Athletics Ed McLaughlin. “This exercise proved critical in helping us to map out our path to continued and future success.” 

 

Collegiate Consulting, through a series of on-campus interviews, benchmarking and external research, worked with VCU Athletics senior staff to identify key themes, goals and strategies across every area of the department.  The primary themes of the plan include: Competitiveness, Academic Excellence, Student-Athlete Experience, Community and Fiscal Sustainability.
