SIOUX FALLS, SD (December 6, 2021) – As the realignment continues at unprecedented levels within Division I, Collegiate Consulting has worked with multiple institutions exploring conference membership opportunities, but also has worked with a number of conferences as they pro-actively consider optimal membership numbers and potential member-institutions.
In addition to previous projects with the Western Athletic Conference, Colonial Athletic Association, Southland Conference, Gulf South Conference and ASUN Conference, Collegiate Consulting recently completed a comprehensive membership study and analysis for The Summit League. Over the course of the project, Collegiate Consulting evaluated 14 potential member-institutions across 15 categories, including academic profile, sports sponsorship, competitive success, sports operating budgets, fan support to name a few of the analytics.
Collegiate Consulting compared current Summit League members to each prospective member. The final component was a SWOT analysis of each reviewed institution. The three-month project was completed and the 98-page presentation was submitted to the Conference in early August.
Currently, Collegiate Consulting has 28 active projects, including DI Feasibility Studies, Conference Membership Studies, DII Feasibility Studies, Strategic Planning and Operational Studies across institutions within Division I, II, III and the NAIA.
