MARION, Indiana – Collegiate Consulting recently completed a five-year strategic plan for the Indiana Wesleyan University intercollegiate athletics department. The strategic plan follows a six-month assessment of the department, including the Wildcats’ current standing within the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Crossroads League.
“The next five years are going to be extremely exciting for Indiana Wesleyan,” stated IWU Athletic Director Mark DeMichael. “Collegiate Consulting has helped us plan out all areas of our department, from student-athlete diversity to the establishment of a new scholarship fund.”
The strategic plan evaluated opportunities for new programs, including football and women’s swimming & diving. Other components of the strategic plan include department organization, Title IX compliance assessment and facilities analysis. To help support the growing department, Collegiate Consulting also gauged current development initiatives while providing fundraising recommendations in line with the University, including the creation of an Athletic Development Council.
