(August 1, 2024) – As we come to the midway point it has been a busy six months for Collegiate Consulting. As denoted earlier, we assisted seven institutions with their reclassification submission requirements with all those institutions respectively advancing in their new NCAA classification. In addition, we completed a comprehensive intercollegiate athletics valuation for Toledo, which provided quantifiable data across eight evaluation metrics. The study and subsequent launch of Toledo’s website promoting the study has helped Collegiate Consulting secure three new valuation studies.
An article in the July 7 issue of the Sports Business Journal, ACC Faces the Future highlighted Division I conference realignment. Of the 26 DI institutions that have/are changing conference affiliation, Collegiate Consulting has assisted either with the institution and/or conference on nine (35%) of those realignments; and of those outside the Power Four, Collegiate Consulting has worked with 70% of the conference realignment movement.
Currently, Collegiate Consulting is working on:
• Two (2) Division II Feasibility Studies
• Two (2) Division I Feasibility Studies
• Sports Sponsorship Study
• Three (3) Conference Realignment Studies
• Athletics Strategic Plan
• Multidivisional Compliance Review
• Athletics Operational Review
On the back end of the House settlement and new Division I roster maximums, our expectation, is we will continue to see more sports sponsorship studies in alignment with new roster limits, as well expansion of our intercollegiate athletics valuation studies.
