BLUEFIELD, WV (December 12, 2022) – Collegiate Consulting partner Bluefield State University has accepted an invitation to rejoin the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association beginning in the 2023-24 athletic year.
Collegiate Consulting has been working with BSU since August 2020. Over the past 28 months, CC has assisted the institution with athletic staffing and hiring; the addition of 12 new sports including football in 2021; athletic facility assessment and planning and securing CIAA conference membership.
BSU had previously been a member of the CIAA from 1932 to 1955 and then was a member of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference from 1955 until its dissolution in 2013. For the past nine years, BSU has participated as a Division II independent.
In the past two years, Collegiate Consulting has assisted more than a dozen institutions across both the NCAA and NAIA with conference membership and sports sponsorship projects.
