Collegiate Consulting Retained for University of Maryland Baltimore County Head Women’s Basketball Coach Search

BALTIMORE (March 19, 2019) – The University of Maryland Baltimore County enlisted the services of Collegiate Consulting in its recent search for a new head coach for the women’s basketball program.  Collegiate Consulting previously assisted UMBC with the head men’s basketball search in 2016, and the hiring of current coach, Ryan Odom. The firm was also retained to conduct a men’s lacrosse head coaching search in 2016 and recently completely a comprehensive operational study of the intercollegiate athletics department.

Collegiate Consulting is working closely with Athletic Director Tim Hall, UMBC administration, and the search committee to create a strong, diverse pool of applicants; the firm also aided in the development of the job listing as well as candidate recruitment and vetting.

Russell Wright, Collegiate Consulting Managing Director, remarked that “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with UMBC again, and we were beyond excited to have helped place Coach Odom back in 2016. We look forward to an equally successful placement for their women’s team and the continued success of the Retriever’s basketball program.”

The UMBC search is Collegiate Consulting’s sixth search and placement in the past eight months.  Since its inception, Collegiate Consulting has worked with over 575 institutions to provide analysis and solutions to its partners across a wide array of intercollegiate athletic issues.
