DETROIT – The University of Detroit Mercy Department of Athletics is pleased to announce it has established a partnership with Collegiate Consulting for ticket sales and service responsibilities.
In a multi-year agreement, Collegiate Consulting will assist the Titans in ticket sales with a full-time, professional outbound sales staff headquartered at Calihan Hall.
Wendy Carpio will serve as the Director of Ticket Sales, where her primary responsibilities will be to oversee the Titans’ ticket sales initiatives. She will strive to put together new and innovative ticket packages to help fill Calihan Hall to capacity at each men’s and women’s basketball games, as well as other ticketed sports on campus to give the Titans the best possible home advantage.
“We believe the opportunity to work with Collegiate Consulting will increase ticket sales and provide a supportive complement to achieve our department’s strategic plan,” said Robert C. Vowels, Jr. Detroit’s Director of Athletics. “Wendy will work closely with our Athletic Ticket Office staff and External Affairs team to ensure our fans receive first-class treatment.”
Under the agreement, Collegiate Consulting will focus on new season-ticket revenue for men and women’s basketball along with men’s lacrosse, as well as single-game and group ticket sales for Detroit’s ticketed sports programs.
Before joining the Titans, Carpio worked for the Bakersfield Condors, the minor-league ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the NHL, as well as the Ontario Reign, the minor-league ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings. A huge soccer fan, Carpio grew up watching and attending Los Angeles Galaxy games as a child, while also playing soccer for her local AYSO club in Southern California.
A native of Ontario, California, Carpio received her undergraduate degree in business administration from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
