UT Permian Basin New Human Performance Center was Cornerstone of Collegiate Consulting Facility Study

ODESSA, Texas (October 25, 2021) – The University of Texas at the Permian Basin (UTPB) hosted the grand opening of their 63,000 SF D. Kirk Edwards Family Human Performance Center.  The facility was the cornerstone project of the study completed by Collegiate Consulting in August 2017.

The 2017 study was a comprehensive assessment of current UTPB athletic facilities and recommendations for a new facility, which became the Human Performance Center.  Collegiate Consulting provided significant revisions from the original 2012 renderings for the facility with expanded space for strength & conditioning, locker rooms, meeting and classroom space to accommodate athletic and institutional needs.

Additionally, Collegiate Consulting conducted an advancement feasibility study, with regard to the institutions ability to raise the funds for the new facility.   Construction on the $37 million facility began in April 2019 and was completed in July 2020.  The original grand opening was delayed by a year due to COVID.
