WISCONSIN-PARKSIDE PARTNERS WITH COLLEGIATE CONSULTING FOR ATHLETIC OPERATIONAL STUDY

KENOSHA, Wisconsin (May 1, 2025) – University of Wisconsin-Parkside retained Collegiate Consulting to provide an assessment and analysis of UWP’s intercollegiate athletic program. The organizational review included a comprehensive evaluation of UWP Athletics.

Collegiate Consulting provided benchmarking comparisons for UWP to both the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) and other peer institutions. The comparison included institutional analysis; sports sponsorship; competitiveness; athletic facilities; staffing; salaries; roster management and financial aid (both athletic and institutional). In addition, Collegiate Consulting conducted multiple interviews with UWP stakeholders regarding the direction of the athletic program.

The study illustrated sports sponsorship; travel total athletic budget and sports operating budgets are in alignment with its peer institutions. Stakeholder interviews and in-depth comparisons indicated an ardent desire to focus on improving budgets and outdoor facilities in comparison to the GLIAC. The key elements and conclusions that drove the recommendation were the UWP’s ability to distinguish itself within the GLIAC; incremental expense savings for any athletic change and potential attrition of student-athletes and coaching staff.

In the past six months, Collegiate Consulting has completed four operational reviews across DI, DII and DIII.
